How is CARAD funded?
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Thank you to our donors and supporters, without which CARAD will not be able to function.

CARAD is a not for profit organization.  The core of our funding, which enables us to provide financial support and services to asylum seekers, refugees and detainees, comes from membership fees and individual personal donations of  time and money. We are indebted to the supporters who have made accommodation options available to the most vulnerable groups.

We also rely on grants from charitable trusts, Lotterywest or the State Government.  The Office of Multicultural Interests has committed funding (from 2009 - 2012) to provide for one full-time staff member to manage "The Welcome Project" which provides for coordination of the English as a Second Language and Homework Support services.  Donations from the public help pay for our part time case worker.

Donations (tax-deductible) are always welcomed, to help us continue our work in the community.  Please also look in to our CARAD shop.givenowbuttontall1
