Your membership gives weight to our advocacy efforts, shows that you care, and helps fund our work.

Help a student with their homework, help a refugee improve their English language skills, visit asylum seekers held in detention, help someone settle in Australia, help CARAD with our fundraising or officework.....

-       make a financial donation
We rely heavily on your generosity to pay our (part time) staff, to provide a small living allowance to asylum seekers who are not eligible for other funding, to provide emergency accommodation to asylum seekers in the community and to continue our advocacy, education and other services.

URGENT APPEAL TO OUR SUPPORTERS! as at 16 May 2012
We have an emerging need for gift cards to give to clients so that they can purchase food or clothing.

These are easy to get from Coles/Myer by adding a gift card to your shopping and then send it to the CARAD office OR you can also get a Woolworths Essentials or Groceries Only card OR IGA also have cards you can purchase.
We recommend that the sum on the card be between $20 and $50.
Please SHARE this message -we have hungry, cold clients NOW.  We know many of our clients would greatly appreciate this gesture of welcome - which would help them feed their family, or help them talk to their family overseas.

-       Write to your local MP demanding a more welcoming Australia, quicker processing times for asylum seeker visa claims, and an end to mandatory detention.  Click here for more information.

-     Urge the Australian government to increase its humanitarian intake of refugees.  Sign up to GetUP!s petition.
