CARAD is an independent, community-based organisation providing essential welfare and advocacy support to asylum seekers, refugees and detainees in Western Australia.
Since opening its doors in 2000, CARAD has provided support to over 5000 asylum seekers, refugees and detainees through our Case Management and Volunteer Programs.
GET INVOLVED WITH CARAD
We are three months into 2017, and it has already been a challenging year for the rights of asylum seekers, refugees and detainees around the world.
As an active supporter of the Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees (CARAD) you will be a part of an amazing community of people striving to empower these individuals here in Western Australia.
We do understand at CARAD that we as citizens are always asked to support various causes and causes, and it comes down to our social preferences and where our charitable priorities are. We also understand that we can't all afford to support them all, but we also come from one of the most, if not the most generous communities in the world in Western Australia. So we thought we would approach this another way and instead of making you choose how to allocate your charitable funds we would simply ask!
We are on a mission to raise $10,000 for 2017 to ensure our amazing volunteers can continue the wonderful and selfless work they do, we have done some calculations and have come up with an individual amount of just $45.
We know with the support we already have and the increasing support and awareness we are receiving, that our $10,000 goal amount will most certainly be achievable and how proud we would be if that became a reality!
Your $45 donation is, of course, tax deductible and if together we can reach that magical $10,000 number what a fantastic collective community effort it will be!
All you need to do is tick the box stating that you like to provide CARAD with a $45 gift, fill in your details and presto! You are part of the CARAD community and making a considerable and fantastic different to the lives of others.
We thank you so much for your help as again; we couldn't do it without you.
