The Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees (CARAD)

CARAD is a not-for-profit organisation enabling refugees and people seeking asylum to live with dignity. We provide essential needs, advocacy and welfare support services to people seeking humanitarian protection in Western Australia. CARAD envisions a welcoming Australia where refugees and people seeking asylum can rebuild their lives and are treated with compassion and respect.

CARAD Services

CARAD is an independent, community-based organisation providing specialised welfare and advocacy assistance to asylum seekers, refugees and detainees in Western Australia.

Since opening its doors in 2000, CARAD has provided support to over 5,000 refugees, people seeking asylum and detainees fleeing persecution through our Client Services and Volunteer Programs.

We Are Looking For a New Home

We are keen to hear from the community of any available space which might be suitable for our purposes. Our key requirements are a client meeting area, sufficient space for the CARAD Pantry, and office space for our dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Car bays would be a bonus! I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to CARAD for the invaluable support they provided during my time of need. The foodbank and accommodation assistance made a significant difference in my life. I’d like to acknowledge the entire team for their incredible dedication and compassion. Their kindness and commitment truly stood out and I am eternally grateful for their help. Thank you for making a positive impact in my journey.
